In the fall of 2019, Hands In Service along with other community partners identified an agency able to receive and distribute donated items needed at different stages of the recovery process in the Bahamas impacted by Hurricane Dorian.  Donations were able to be trucked to Florida and distributed to those in need in the Bahamas.  Items like bottled water, diapers, baby items, backpacks, generators, trash bags, first aid supplies, tents, cots, power washers, and tools were distributed to those who were working on rebuilding their lives.  We are thankful for every donor and individual who donated to help others- collectively we sent over 29 pallets of items.
