Mission Trip to Dominican Republic with Hands in Service 
October 1st to October 8th, 2019

This team served in the Dominican Republic from Tuesday October 1st through Tuesday October 8th, 2019.  As always we continue to serve along side Pastor Isidro Mejia and Casa de Restauración, 6TA Iglesia Metodista Libre, La Romana.
We set up medical clinics that  offer primary medical care, deworming,  vitamins and medications and children's evangelism opportunities.

Linda is again travelling with Hands in Service to share the Gospel with the "little people" in the Dominican Republic. Because Linda's children's evangelism program is so amazing, she will spend a day teaching her methods to interested church members in the Dominican Republic who will be able to replicate and build on her method. Mary Tornetta

In October, I will be traveling once again with a team of Americans to La Romana, Dominican Republic with Hands in Service to serve the people working in the sugar cane bateys. We will be providing medical clinics for impoverished children and adults. The medical clinics will address physical & spiritual needs. Primary care medicine for acute and chronic illnesses will be treated.  As a nurse, this is one of the most rewarding and challenging ways that I get to serve.  Evangelism activities with the children share the gospel and the children love all the attention.

This is Jamie’s third trip to the Dominican Republic to share God’s love through action.  Her favorite spot to serve in the DR is the Pharmacy, where the pace is fast and accuracy is imperative.  She serves as a Pharmacy Technician; she fills the prescriptions as they come in, so that they can be checked by a nurse and then given to the patients by a Dominican team member/Interpreter.  Please use the donate button beneath this paragraph if you would like to offer financial help so Jamie can serve Christ by serving those in need.
