BETH MEASURING HEIGHT
We are excited to have another team preparing to serve in the Dominican Republic from October 13th through October 20th, 2018. We will continue serving along side Pastor Isidro and the Ministerio Casa de Restauracion in the Sugar Cane Batays of La Romana. We will set up medical clinics that will offer primary medical care, deworming, vitamins and medications, offer children's evangelism opportunities, audio Bibles in Spanish and Creole and water filtration systems. Please consider supporting this team with prayer or a financial contribution.
As we continue our commitment to share the gospel and ease the suffering of the people living in the sugar cane Batays in the Dominican Republic, I would appreciate your prayers to cover our team, the people we will be serving and Ministerio Casa de Restauracion in the Dominican Republic who are leading his effort. Please provide your email address if you can be on our prayer team and we will send you updates from the field so you can pray specifically.
If you are able to contribute financially to help cover the costs of medications, evangelism supplies, water filtrationsystems, travel and accommodations, you would be making a tangible difference in the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged and underserved people in the Dominican Republic.
Coming up in October I have the opportunity to attend a mission trip with Hands in Service in the Dominican Republic and serve the less fortunate in an area called The Batays. Since I am a nurse I'll be spending my time in the pharmacy and ministering to other medical needs. I can't begin to tell you how excited & blessed I feel to be able to do this. I would be very grateful for any financial support. You could donate to this mission. If you would like to be on the prayer Team for this trip, please provide your email address and you will receive Updates from the team while we are in the Dominican Republic.
I am once again heading on a medical missions trip to the Dominican Republic October 13-20, 2018. I know many of you are supporting me or my kids for our Houston Texas Hurricane Harvey relief missions trip
July 29-August 4. I thank you and I hate to be asking again.
The need for assistance locally, regionally and internationally doesn’t stop. I am grateful to have the time to give and support of my family to be a part of these trips but I need the continued support of my friends both financially and through prayer to make this happen.
If you are able to donate please click the donate now button below. Please pray for our team, our travel and those we will serve.
ANNA MARIE AND DAWN MARIE DANT
In October we will be traveling with Hands in Service, Inc. to La Romana, Dominican Republic to work with our brothers and sisters in Christ for a week in medical clinics in the Batays which are the sugar cane fields where Haitian immigrants and others live and work in extreme poverty. The men chop sugar cane with machetes and earn only $2 per ton and the women and children cannot earn a sufficient income to buy basic necessities. They see no hope in their future, but we are excited that while we offer simple medical assistance the local pastors will share the gospel of Jesus Christ and the hope He offers.
Our team will be partnering with the local churches, doctors and nurses to hand out deworming medicines and vitamins, check vital signs, install water filtration systems, distribute solar powered audio Bibles and share Jesus with the children in the Batay villages. Doctors and nurses will be assessing the patients and distributing medications for malnutrition, acute and chronic illnesses.
I was blessed to travel with Hands in Service to the DR last October and I am excited that Anna can be part of this upcoming trip to see God at work in places where His name is foreign to the local people who need to know Him personally. Anna will be a high school sophomore taking all honors classes so missing school is a concern, but we are trusting God’s leading to serve Him in this way.
All members of the team share the expenses for the medication we distribute, the local doctors, travel and lodging. We are each responsible for $1,950 to cover the cost of travel, lodging, meals supplies and medications for the clinics. We have committed $1,500 of our own funds towards the trip, but need to find ministry partners to be part of this team by sending a donation towards the additional $2,900. We are asking that God will mold, shape, and change me through this experience, but most of all, that others will know Him because of this team. I would love for you to join me in this prayer. Thank you for prayerfully considering whether you are able to be part of this team.
